Crossing the Nullarbor – by Ginnie

We had heaps of fun crossing the legendary Nullarbor Plain.

One of the many beautiful sunsets. This was at our first camp on the Nullarbor, just a little west of Ceduna

Our first camp fire – slow cooked beef penang curry cooked in the camp oven for dinner. Delicious 🙂

Our first view of the Great Australian Bight near Wigunda Cave. Breathtaking.

Six degrees of separation – the couple who took this photo live in Lithgow and know very good friends of ours who used to live there!

What a view!

147k of straight road – the longest straight stretch in Australia – the 90 mile straight.

Fun times ahead in Esperance 🙂

  1. I see they have roped off the Bunda Cliffs. Pity. Takes all the adventure from the spot. Hard not to get great photos there. Did you see the Caiguna Cave just as the straight starts? I stood over it with a flag and the escaping air was enough for the flag to fly! You are bring back great memories.

  3. Hi Marion, lovely to hear from you. We have had a continuing issue with those pesky little mice. They are so annoying!! Now have all tempting food safely sealed in tubs, should have done this from the start – but they seem to get into places I thought impossible!! Hope you guys are doing well, Ginnie xx
